Is the Internet made for us to use or it’s made to use us instead
Back in the early days of the internet, there were no social media platforms that helped companies and entrepreneurs to reach their audience as easy as it happens today, according to a documentary I recommend to everyone entitled “the social dilemma” they sometimes listen to our dialogues while we’re not accessing any app to help us find what we’re looking for, suddenly when you speak about bikes you find bikes ads in Facebook after a while, and so on, so at the early days of the internet there were web pages and later on chatting trend on “MIRC”, “YAHOO” and “MSN”, and google back then used to be just a regular search engine, and when they introduced Gmail it was on invitation basis, if a user sent you an invitation to create an account on Gmail then you can create one, or just stick with famous mailing service back then “Hotmail”,
The internet is data to us, and we are data to the Internet
Is it due to social media algorithm or directed AI of search engines to drives in the narrow ways of the featured information and ads!?
The endless flow of algorithm driven content controlled by multinational corporations to conquer another level of consumer’s manipulation and it won’t end there eventually for the human consciousness has proven to overcome many totalitarian and dystopian regime all along history but now we’re on the verge to get into the hardest Level of totalitarianism of the new digital world which will be the hardest to escape from,
but how does it all happen ?
first create the dependency on the digital world, nowadays it’s important that you have a social media account to connect with your friends, costumers, students, like minded people, it’s important to have a profile on the internet, Web page and an e-mail, once you do, you are in, now whether you'd like to connect, buy new clothes, buy food and groceries and after the COVID-19 40% of people who tried working from home are still working from home and it suits both corporation because it cost less than having the employee at the office to fart and drink more coffee while he can stay at home with a good Chemise and a perfect Tie and a Boxer underwear down the table, and at the other hand the employee doesn’t have to worry about waking up 1 hour earlier to catch up with traffic jams adding the increasing prices of fuel and the cost of transportation overall, so working from home is seemed to be working for both and at the other hand it increases our dependency on the internet and so you are in the middle of the information whirlwind, knowing that, in such environment how can you chose which side you will go if you weren’t exposed to all the options equally if you were ever exposed to different options at all the first place, so when you chose something you are practically driven to that option with a leech of certain information wrapped around your Logic and Blinding your senses.
